What wheels are those bsettles? I can't tell on my phone. They almost look like powdercoated OEMs

 

They are OEM 17" rims. I painted them myself, but in a pretty detailed and professional as possible way.

Had em sandblasted, sandable primer sanded in 400,800, then 7 coats of gloss black and about 45454658514511547 coats of clear.

Well this seals the deal for me. That car looks just as clean as any sedan I've seen, gonna keep my 17s and get them done and use the extra money under the hood

 

Cost me about 100 bucks and a weekend or mostly playing PS4 while paint dryed in in the proper intervals.

They are not absolutley perferct but your eyes would have to be about 12-18" from them to even spot a small imperfection, which are mainly results of me scrubbing out curb rash or from the previous owner.

I have had family members that are not car people just think it was a trim package, which was pretty much the goal the whole time.

Did not paint center caps or lugs.

 

I would bet I saved enough on the rims and tires to do the intake, HFC's and Exhaust, which I thought was a fair trade off. It was buy the rims and wait to do all of it or put in the elbow grease and get it all at once.

A huge plus (yes I am cheap) is that you can put some of the best tires available that fit the 17" OEM for under 1k.

Also I think the 17" wheels helps soften the ride a bit after the new springs, I can't tell a whole lot in right quality except everything is tighter and much less body roll. Potholes feel the same when I cant miss one.

Thanks man I love that contrast and would probably try to create it again even with aftermarket rims if I ever do them, I'd love a set but I would want really light wheels even with bigger diameter so I would probably would go with the Enkei RPF1 in a 18" but those with rims aren't cheap and I am having a hard time parting with the cash.

I don't want to be turning 70lbs per rim. Plus I am starting to **** the wife off with how much money I am spending on the car so she is going tit for tat with home decorations and clothes, and that is no fun even though she makes a good living for us and deserves it.

I am just hitting the when is enough enough thought much earlier than thought and I greatly underestimated how much lowering would cost me overall, so still reeling a bit.

 

Are you on stock suspension? the car looks great btw

I am on Swift springs with a rear Eibach camber kit and no front kit at all. Thanks for the compliments! It's an X just as an FYI.

Waiting to see how fast I eat this pair of Ventus and if I do too quickly I'll get a front kit when I get new tires. The front camber is at -1.5 so off/on ramps are sooo much fun.
