So I've been toying with the idea of the OEM trunk spoiler. It don't think it looks stunningly fantastic, but it's acceptable. I just want to cover up the chrome. I don't really like any other spoilers more, such as Autokits or the Stillen type ones where it still shows the chrome. Persuade me to get the spoiler, or leave it with the chrome?

 

Change the chrome. It looks like shiet. I'm going thru the process right now. Paid $170 for the spoiler w/ camera. Took off the chrome piece because I hate it so much and making a custom bracket for the camera for the new spoiler. Looks dope sauce.

 

I like mine, not obtrusive and getting rid of the lip trim is an improvement IMO. If you have a backup camera and have to pay the higher price that might sway me to say no, but those $55 OEMs on Ebay are a great deal, and it's a perfect factory paint match. Not sure if they have them in your color though

 

Ya, i have the camera, so i'm out of luck on the $55 spoilers. Lowest I can get is $300, which is why i'm debating on this.

My vote is to leave stock and get the chrome piece painted

 

I like the stockers better than most others I have seen. I have one and love it. It definately grows on you more and more as times goes on. When you see a chrome spoiler you will think "man I am glad I don't have that!"

 

Is the extra downforce noticeable or is this strictly cosmetic?

 

cosmetic. even if there is a benefit, i'm sure i won't be driving fast enough to notice it in L.A. traffic. lol

 

I say go for it. when i went to pick up my car I didnt like the chrome lip, so I added on the Aero kit and it looks 10x better than with the chrome



I also got my roof CF wrapped with a CF wrapped roof spoiler

 

man that CF wrap looks phenomenal!

 

Spoiler all the way! I ordered one the same day we bought our car. Couldn't wait to replace the ugly chrome piece.

 

I bought my car with the Aero package. Whenever I see a standard chrome lip concoction I think it looks so weird. Spoiler looks great.

 

looks like i'll probably be getting the spoiler. gf doesn't like it though, and keeps giving me grief about it. oh well. I'm buying her a Vita-Mix, so that should keep her happy.
