Its winter right now and its freezing outside in Toronto.. however when i start the car and its on auto climate control I see that the AC is on every time. I never have the patience to see if it will go away cuz i just want the heat to be on... but can anyone tell me if i should chill out and wait??

The AC runs when in other modes like defrost to help dehumidify the air. Your car loves you and wants you to be able to see where you are driving.

 

When you press auto you have to turn the a/c off manually? You can turn it off in defrost.

 

Auto always turns on A/C to dehumidify. Unless needed for a foggy windshield, I always put it in auto then push the A/C button to turn off the compressor. Still runs everything else automatically.

Don't listen to them!!!!! Your car is trying to kill you for waking her up in freezing temps!!!!! Wait until it gets warmer then go start her up... LoL...
