Ark Grip Sedan

Just put my ark grip exhaust on my 12 6mt sedan, big difference lol. It's a little quiet for my taste but some test pipes should solve that. One thing to mention for the sedan crowd, the exhaust tips fit so perfectly that you cannot see the embroidered logo, which is unfortunate but at east the fit was perfect, my mechanic buddy who helped on the install said this installed better then the stillen exhaust and that the difference is a joke lol. Anyways highly recommend getting it, bought it off the forums here for a great price! Shout out to FBparts for great customer service.

Quality wise and fitment between the 2 is night and day, as well as looks, plus ARK is less expensive. Big difference in the pull, definitely feels stronger, noticed a lot more pull in 2nd gear.

No exhaust is making more power. It's just a sugar pill. Louder isn't faster. But enjoy.

I don't think that statement is entirely true.

What about exhaust back pressure?
Unless the motor is tuned and running some high end components I believe it still needs exhaust to run more efficiently.

I also have the Ark grip exhaust for my sedan 6mt and my butt dyno can't tell the difference compared to OEM.
Also, the tips of my exhaust are uneven with the bottom of the bumper... One is slightly lower than the other.

I bought the exhaust brand new so there is no way it could be bent or anything as I am the only person to have used it and I have never been in an accident/scraped the exhaust.

I smell a troll.

Look at any of the exhaust manufacture websites and you will see before and after dyno numbers as well as members on this forum and others that have done independent dyno runs showing increases in power.

Most on here dont buy exhaust on here for power, they do it for sound. thats what anyone should focus on when comparing exhausts, because thats what you notice most.

I to have had a Stillen on my 07 G sedan that I use to own and the quality and fitment on that Stillen Exhaust was great. Fit like a glove. But to say the difference is a joke?
Your mechanic buddy must not install very many stillens.

LOL's

I'm not a troll, I've had a twin turbo 350Z and lots of cars.

The exhaust is tuned from the factory, and the high HP design, high compression and high HP/liter means manufacturers aren't sand bagging engines.

I can explain how you can fake 5-10 hp gains on a dyno.

Every dyno run is different.

You run 5 runs on the dyno with the stock exhaust and you can have as much as a 5hp difference with no changes.

You put an exhaust on and you run 5 and you gan gain a few HP, and don't kid yourself that you can'T feel 5hp.

So for example stock

280hp, 282, 274, 275, 281 (Low 274)

After exhaust
277, 283, 281, 279 (high 283)

You have a 9 hp gain, but really you only have a 1 hp gain if you take high/to high.

I've been to places like ARK, they don't have a dyno, and there's nothing wrong with that, but we all tend to think anything aftermarket is going to make power. It's not true.

Most of the time if you go bigger piping you lose back pressure, which loses TQ and actually loses power where you use it and gains a little on the top.
