Small Sub System in Trunk: Which way to face???

I just purchased an Infinity Basslink 200-Watt, Dual 10" Powered Subwoofer System to add some low-end bass to the Bose setup without losing space for multiple sets of golf clubs. Looking for some trunk mounting advice from anyone that's installed something similar. How did you mount if for best bass results. Facing up? Mounted vertically facing the back seat? Vertically facing right or left? Etc. Thanks!

I'm curious what you're going to tap into for the input on the bose?

As for which way to face, low frequencies are generally omnidirectional, so it really doesn't matter.

just suggesting, for $4 more check the amazon lightning deals page and you can get the basslink II but you only have 30 more minutes to purchase it as of me posting this message.

i personally had the basslink II and loved it, i had it in my older car. the mounting position didnt matter too much, i moved it in mutiple directions and it didnt sound any different

after installing numerous audio systems in cars, for the unit you bought..it doesn't really matter which direction you mount it in your trunk.
keep in mind...your gonna have to run some sort of power wire from under the hood and through your car...unless you can tap into a line somewhere else.
also you will need a pre-amp subwoofer signal pushed to that thing as well.

let us know how to the install goes..and post some pics! im interested to see how it comes out and how you like it!

Here is a pre-made enclosure, I don't think it matters much on direction for a sub: Infiniti G Sedans

I like it looks very OEM and saves what little trunk we have...

Thanks for all your responses. I'm having a friend of mine do the install. I'll post some pics once it's completed. Having tint applied today, 18%. Can't wait to see how she looks and sounds in a couple weeks.

I have always had mine facing up and in a corner. That said, replacing the Basslink with a separate 10" sub with sub amp yielded far more satisfying bass.

Subwoofers are OMNI directional. So they don't need to be mounted a certain direction.

Also interested in hearing how the install goes, in particular the wires you tap into from the bose system for the remote and signals.

I'm planning to replace the stock blose sub with a nice 10 or 12" ib capable sub myself.

Very clean install. Sounds great. Nice low-end bass. Easily controllable with installed remote (shown). Psyched out of my mind.

Good to hear you like it. Install looks good. Would you mind answering some of the questions above most notably referring to the wiring?

How difficult was the overall wiring? Easy diy or professional installation required?

I don't think the OP has posted in quite some time...thread is about a year old...maybe someone in the audio section can answer...
