Should we add Subaru and Acura to the list as well?

My guess would be Audi, then Subaru. This is based on what I've heard people saying so I have nothing to back it up

Make a poll.

A lot of variables.
Full-time awd vs on-demand awd vs 4wd
Fwd bias vs rwd bias
Active center diff (I think acura and mitsu evo X have it)

I like our ATTESSA-ETS, drives like rwd and traction of awd when needed, good for fuel mileage.

how do you want to quantify "best"? best for what? performance, fuel economy, balance...there's so many factors to consider.

yeah. Quattro is absolutely amazing in the snow! I usually go around in my s5 during blizzards pulling people out of ditches.

Everyone always has that look of ('what the heck are you supposed to do with a sports car?') on their faces.

Traction is amazing, the esp kicks in subtly and usually reacts before you even realize a change in vehicle dynamics.

Turning off esp and asr = lots and lots of fun =D

So... you're hooking tow straps to your s5? Or did you install a hitch?
I would like some pics

I put in the tow hook and use straps. Piruses are the most fun =D

And I don't have any wintertime photos (Though I really should start taking some =D)
I just have a few pics of the car when I first got it.
But, I'll make sure to take many fun winter activity pictures with my 6mt this year and share it with you all!

I've had an A4 Quattro, two Legacy GTs, and now a G37x. I liked the Subarus better than the Audi in snow. The G37 is the best of the bunch on dry or wet, to me. Bought it in late February, have not had it in the snow yet.

In my opinion, I truly think the best AWD system on the mark lies with Acura - their SH-AWD system works pretty darn flawlessly (again, to my knowledge). It transfer between per axle much quicker than I had anticipated. Have you guys seen the 6MT TL-SHAWD vs 335i vs S4 comparison around the track? The TL came out on top. It's ability to transfer to the inner wheel during an aggressive corner + acceleration revs that inner wheel faster than the others, pulling/pushing the car around the corner.

The Quattro's nice too, but it just seems like...old news, ya know? But I suppose old age doesn't say anything...
