Drove the Ortega Highway for the first time today. Twists, turns and all kinds of fun. Got behind a 530i and we tore it up.

After we left Ortega Highway and came up to a light we had a short conversation.

Him: That was the most fun I've had in years! Thank you!
Me: No, thank YOU! That was my first time driving that road and I was hoping to get behind someone who knew it well!

DAMN that was fun!

Tell me where to find it so I can hit it up my next trip out. I believe I will be there in SoCal in the next couple of weeks.

 

Glendora Mountain Road (GMR) is also alot of fun.

Puts Ortega to shame IMO.

 

If you are coming down I-15 south, from Vegas going toward San Diego, it is the exit for SR74. It connects Riverside and Orange County.

Check out that link, and zoom in on SR 74 in certain spots. It twists, turns, hairpins, doubles back... it was so much fun it aughta be illegal.

I heard some of the home-owners on that road nail car and motorcycle parts, from all the crashes, to the trees... to remind people not to be stupid.

 

Next time anyone wants to hit up Ortega let me know! i live like 5 minutes from it and would be down to go on ortega in the G! hadn't hit ortega in a long time lol!
