Hey guys I've always been curious to see if i can hear the ringtone from my phone into the car speakers when I get a call.
All I hear is the cars ringtone when i get a phone call even if I have the ringtone in the car to ON for the phones ringtone.

Now the funny part is that my sister's altima doesn't do this.
I can hear the phones ringtone through the car speakers when she receives a call.

Do any of you guys experience this problem?

It seems that Infiniti has its own ringtone

 

When the phone is paired to the car you only get the car ringtone. What bothers me, a little, is in my new 2011 there is just one ringtone. In my 07 G sedan there were many car ringtones to select from.

 

But why does it have the option to have the car ringtone ON or OFF? It seems a bit odd. Where in an altima it has the car and phone ringtone which you can toggle through.

 

in my 07, when i get a call, my car rings its ringing tone and my phone rings its regular tone. kinda gets annoying

 

I just went and checked and now see what you mean. Mine is like that too.
It doesn't make any difference if you turn the car ringtone setting ON or OFF. It rings the same, either way.
The reason I didn't really notice the car ringtone before (heard my phone ringtone) is because my car ringtone volume was on the lowest possible setting.
It might be a problem in the firmware. There's not much in the manuals about it. I'll ask the dealer next time I'm in for my oil change. That won't be for a couple of months though.
