Getting tired of waiting for the next generation G.....
I'm being captain obvious here but were on the 6th model year of the G. Do you think they are going to ride out this design for another year (meaning 2013 year too)? My G is an 09 and coming off of lease next year in June....as the 13's would be surfacing. I really don't want the same car again only to have the next generation released 12 months later.
7 years seems to be a long time to run the car line. My only hope is how secretive Nissan/Infiniti is and that the release the car this winter/spring at an auto show, like New York.

Perhaps you'll be able to extend your lease for six months so you can get the new body style. That said, I suspect there will be plenty of other options when your lease comes due. I have 22 months left on my lease; I certainly would not want to replace with a nearly identical car.

According to MT the new G won't even be shown until the NY show in 2014 due to switching over to a Benz platform. If the show is in April I assume that means the cars won't be on the lot until that fall (or maybe that summer) as a 2015 model.

I guess I can quit worrying about whomever f'ed up the styling on the g35 coupe when they introduced the g37 coupe working on the g37 replacement. He/she will have retired by then, and it's unlikely I'm going to wait five or six more years to upgrade my '04 coupe with a partially-depreciated 2014/2015 model.

I like when they take their time. I get more annoyed when I choose a vehicle and then shortly afterwards a new style comes out and makes me feel like mine is out-dated when ever I see the new one.
The Infiniti G Coupe and Sedan has nice styling (1st and 2nd gen) which can stand the test of time better than many other products out there.
It's not the same but just for example sake think of the 911. Porsche has kept the same basic styling since it inception. No one is complaining.
As I posted in other similar threads, when I picked up my 2011 G in July I asked the dealer and he said the new model would be a 2014, for sale in 2013. I'm sure he was speaking about the sedan since that's what I was buying. Perhaps the coupe may come first again.

Well, the '12 corvette is the 8th year for the C6 body style/drive train. Look how long bmw keeps their models. It has become the way of the world with cars to retool less often.

I saw that MT article too just recently. Me thinks that Infiniti is going to tweak the V36 platform before the release of the next model. Maybe drop the M Hybrid power train into the current model for a few years. Because lets face it....the G was refreshed in 2010 and it does NOT have the staying power to sell for another 3 model years with new paint colors.
Now...drop a hybrid power train when they work on the V37 (or whatever the code)...and you might keep folks more interested.
