Took the G on a 1500 mile rt 28.4 MPG

First long road trip in the G. Drove from Atlanta to Cleveland and back. The car did better then I though it would on gas mileage. Overall 28.4 mpg loaded up with me, my wife and 2 dogs and a trunk completely full. Average speed about 75mph. Thats actually better then my old 2008 Nissan Altima 3.5 would get.

With heavier 20" rims and the requisite larger tires... I am not even trying to concern myself with my gas mileage.

Screw it.

I only lost 1mpg w/ my 20s (245/35/20) So definitely acceptable
Getting about 27-29 hwy
w/ my 17s I got 28-30
My 20s are pretty close to the weight of the 17s though (at least the wheels are)

You guys must be in places they sell real gas. In the People's Republik of Taxifornia, we have oxygenated gasoline mixed with at least 10% ethanol = read: sh*t fuggin mileage.

The best I ever did was just under 25mpg on a trip to Vegas when it was new. The worst was 16mpg after I dropped it and before I got it aligned properly.

Yep, luckily I'm able to use the good stuff usually. On our road trips where I have to use corn-hole gas I do get at least 10% worse mpg, damn that stuff sux!

With the 08 sport coupe 19's, staggered setup, a 100 degree all AC trip to Vegas = 24-25 mpg going between 75-85...same trip a few months before w/ stock 17's 27 mpg...

...not that I care much anymore about the gas mileage so long as it's over 24 on a long drive...

normal day to day...city 50%/Hwy 50% = 21mpg with an angry So Cal lead foot...lol

Not too shabby for a 3.7 liter that is so fun to drive you have no choice but to punch the accelerator when you get to in LA driving.

my fuel use observations over the past 4 years

1st pic is from my recent 350 mile, 90% hwy, trip. I drove 68-72mph. We had the cabin loaded (me, wife and 3 kids, ~680lbs) and the trunk almost full, another 60lbs.

2nd pic is my typical weekly fuel consumption rate. It's city driving but not much stop n' go and not to many traffic lights. I drive about 35mph for the 8 mile commute.

3rd pic is what it's like when I am having fun but keeping it legal.
