warped/stained infiniti lower door plates

warped/stained infiniti lower door plates
on my 2009 g37x sedan, when you open up the door, the chrome plates at the bottom of the door sill are getting warped/stained. looks like frosted paint and the word infiniti is getting all blurred. has anyone had this happen to them? if so, what did you do to fix it?
