Yeah, 335i is pretty close to 300/300 at the wheels.

not every rev up motor had that issue -- I never once had any oil consumption even with my boosted sedan running with Mobil1 changing the oil every 1500 miles on it.

IMHO, The G's potential is in FI. The factory is missing both market and line image opportunities by limiting G's to NA.

you're joking, right? lol sprint boosters and "chips" (which don't exist by the way) are all gimmicks. they don't add ANYTHING, in terms of whp/wtq. YIKES! lol

+1^^ sprint booster makes it "feel" like your car has more power because it raises the gas pedal sensitivity.

This makes me want a 335i (with the upgrade) just because it's gonna be a beast with those numbers! Not fair.

VQ + FI = mega heat issues.

If you solve the heat issues, I'm sure Nissan will be MORE than happy to hire you.

Lets not forget the heat issues that high horsepower cars have.

Given the FI engines Nissan has out now and has offered in the past, they probably would know how to FI an engine for the G without even calling me.

So, a stock VQ37 has heat problems, but a stock VR38 doesn't.

Question is, do you know why?

Better yet, why do all of these manufacturer keep releasing FI cars that can have increased output with a simple tune? Why not have it that way to begin with?

Sprint booster, yes that is a gimmick.

A chip though is NOT a gimmick, like this guy said the ones for the 335i (especially the n54 version) are really good

Oh and to the guy who asked why they dont come like this from factory:
1. the chipped tune is an agressive tune. It's NOT a 100% safe tune and if you keep pushing the car, you could blow your engine/turbos.
2. having "too high" horsepower pushes the car in a different class for insurance etc. It's like back in the day when the japanese made all these cars that were <300hp but they were all actually MUCH more, but they did to because of weird regulations.
So BMW has nothing to gain by loading a very aggressive tune that will have issues (even if it's only 1 in 1000 cars or whatever) and will cost more to own. They put out a conservative tune that makes the car reliable enough (minus the fuel pump lol!) and has the HP to compete in the class vs infinit, lexus, MB etc

My sarcasm must have been lost.

wait...were you the original poster of the comment? i'm fairly certain the op was referring to the chips for OUR cars. i know all about the "chips" that add boost for the 335i's. JB3/4, Vishnu's Procede and Dinan. Watch yourself.
