The M is WAY nicer than a G! The interior on my 2006 M35X blew away my '09 G37S. As far as sporty feel goes, the M is only a bit heavier. My last M weighed the same as my present convertible G.
And the new ones look even better, inside and out. If you need a sedan and could swing it, the M would be THE choice.
I could not imagine picking a G over an M if you could afford the M.

Have any of you guys that have looked at a lot of aftermarket wheels ever seen any that look like these 20's on the M37S (except in an 18 or 19)?

As factory wheels go, I really like these, on the M37 anyway. The 2 choices of 18's on the non-sport are pretty blah. Here's the stock 18"

and the optional 5 tri-spoke 18"

IMO...if you gonna go for M, then it must be M56, otherwise I would stick with G37.

^A regular M37 is pretty quick too.. 5.4 to 60. It's as heavy as a G vert basically. And a M35h would haul *** too if you want better gas mileage than the M56. But the S wheels are a must on this car.

M35h vs M56 would be an interesting comparison, if you're up in that price category with options. Straight-line performance I think I recall they're pretty similar. One gripe I've read about the M56 is it feels nose heavy, whereas the hybrid is closer to 50-50 weight distribution. One gripe I've read about the hybrid is mediocre brakes, though I'm not sure why they would be so much weaker. Must be a completely different brake system.

you can look at it this way... sell the remaining 3 for $500 each and get a new set you like.

dont believe all reviews on the message boards or magazines...

I haven't seen anyone get a 13.7 from a M37 from a magazine but I was able to achieve it from my own car w/ 2500 miles on it.

Stock M56's are claimed 13.2 best overall timing?

If you get the sport package, the 4-wheel steering definitely helps -- and w/ the transmission driver select mode in Sport, it also recalibrates and changes the steering ratio as opposed to the Standard or Eco modes.

I would love to get new aftermarket wheels but the 20x9 OEM sport wheels still look sharp, even when I'm parked next to buddy's Jaguar XF-R and his car (he likes the way the 20" M wheels are a better paint)

I agree they're pretty sharp looking. Definitely a couple steps about the 18's in looks. I hope to drive the M37 and M37S over the holiday weekend.

I was just reading about the new 2012 Jag XF. It's on my list to test drive once they're out later in the summer. The XF-R is too rich for me though, and the 385HP base XF would have to do. What year is his XF-R and how's it been, reliability-wise? I hate that goofy transmission shift dial (looks like our Samsung washing machine LOL) but other than that it's a nice looking machine. The 2012's have some exterior changes that make them look more like the XJ and I like what I've seen in photos.

First, are there any active (as in many posts per day) M37/M56 forums? The one here doesn't get much activity.

While I still think the G37 is a better value, the M37 has grown on me and I like both the exterior and interior better.

Did any of you seriously compare the two, or have any comments about the M37 compared to the G37 you'd care to offer?

I'd like to have a list of things to look for when I go in to drive both on the same day.

PS the G37 options I would get (if I end up getting the G37) are sport, premium, and nav.

Buying the M over a G is a no-brainer if you know what you want, bro. I would've gave my G for a new M in a heartbeat if I could. It has a completely luxurious interior that's kickin' Merc and BM all the way down the road. I've sat in one of the new M's at an auto show and I was blown away. The G will be more sporty, but the M wins in every other category. If you can, get an M!

handling is the same slalom specs on the M37s as the G37s

It has regenerative braking, so it's a different system. But regeneration should take stress/heat off the conventional braking components, so it's odd that they wouldn't work as well unless they've been downsized for weight.

well if you compare a M56 nonsport versus the M35h they have the same brakes. it's not even comparing a M56 w/ a sport package vs the M35h

I couldn't live w/ that smaller trunk in the hybrid
