M56 or A7

So I just caught a quick commercial for the new A7....that's a pretty slick machine. How's it stack up vs the M56?

A sloped wagon 3.0T supercharged 310hp 325lb/ feet torque
vs A full size sedan with a v-8 with 420hp 417lb/ feet torque

If you like what other ppl think about you get the Audi if you like what you think about yourself get the M

I saw a bunch of A7's when I was in Germany a few weeks ago (I drove through Ingolstadt a couple times and they were all over the place). I gotta say, they look pretty sick in person. I don't really care for them in the pictures I have seen, but in person the lines look great. It looks kind of funky in pictures with the hatchback, but pictures don't do them justice at all. Maybe it was because they were flying by me on the Autobahn.... I know opinions are mixed on the M56, but I like the way they look for a big car too, but I don't know if I would pay what they want for it. The Audi is a lot easier to tune and gets a lot better gas mileage with about the same performance (and quattro).

I'll agree on the reliability.... I also have a Q7, and I am pretty bummed about the quality for a $60k car. No bueno. I am really close to taking the plunge on a new S4, but I don't know if I can get past the reliability thing (especially after what I will do to it; it surely won't help).

The M over the A any day. Infiniti reliability over the Audi

Personally I don't like the styling of the A7 plus the bigger engine in the M56 make it an easy choice for me; the M, no question.

Audi's are sweet... if you get the top of the line. If not, its just another VW. German engineering vs Japanese build quality... hmm. Arigato.

From what I've seen in person, the quality and styling of the interior in the M56 wins over the A7. I also hate that ugly pop up screen Audi uses in it. It makes it look to after market and less OEM.. M56 anyway!!

the Audi lost its aggressive lines from the concept model.

but it also doesn't have as much wheel gap as the M56 from the factory

Off topic: Did you mentioning your media pass lend some credibility to your post? Sorry not to flame, but I laughed out loud, like BFD.

ON TOPIC: M56 All Day! Better lines, better power, probably better quality (sure that's debatable).

Well... as a 2 time Infiniti owner... I'd go with the M56.

However, I have no experience with Audi, so my opinion is hardly valid.

I would rather receive many forms of torture than drive in something that looks like an A7
