Just spoke with my brother's Infiniti salesman yesterday and according to him, it shouldn't be long until they start production again. They are still taking special orders and would still take the regular 3 months until delivery.

A copy and paste of Infiniti January 2011 Sales
Infiniti sales for January were 7,405 units, up 10.3 percent from the 6,711 units sold in the same month a year earlier.
* Sales of the Infiniti QX56 luxury SUV rose 17.8 percent to 782 units, posting seven consecutive months of sales improvement since the new model arrived.
* Sales of the Infiniti G Sedan Line rose 21.2 percent to 3,248 units, lifted by the sales success of the new G25 sports sedan.

We know that 2,200 Infiniti vehicles were destroyed by the tsunami....with the plant closures I would guess about three or four weeks of production will be lost assuming the plants open next week.

Just be patient i think is the best policy. If you already have your G your in the clear, if not your really gonna be excited by the time yours gets delievered. Just consider ourselves very lucky to not be where the infiniti's... and thousands of people were washed away.

Our vehicle value might go up due to the lack of availability.

On a serious note, I wonder if the cities extremely affected by the tsunami will put up a storm surge wall like in Galveston, TX.

Glad I got mine last month when they'd deal. They went deep into the holdback to sell mine, made about $300 as near as I can figure. Probably don't have to do that right now.
