IMO, and only my opinion, the GTR overlay that all the G coupe/sedan guys are doing look a little cheap. It looks terrible, especially considering that the majority of the cutting jobs out there aren't perfect. Up close, it looks even worse. So with that in mind, I think your best option is to paint. The tinted tail light look isn't for me, so I prefer (was planning on doing, until recently) a light, light smoke.

Why did I decide otherwise? Something about my black sedan with the bright red tail lights makes the car pop...just recently noticed from road trip pictures haha

only reason y i wont paint them is because on my previous G(2005 G35x Black) i had the tails painted and didnt really like it. i mean it was nice but i got into an accident and though the insurance company was gunna give me a hard time for having them painted so i tried to take the paint off and it was nearly impossible. so for now im just gunna do the overlay if i dont like them or like steve said get beat up i can just peel them off. as far as the cut job i havnt heard anyone complain who ordered them from bluebatmobile.com

I did mine myself with VHT nightshade. doggy can give you more into on this, but as far as i know, you just use laquer thinner and you can remove them pretty easy

Heres a pic with lights off

i went for a mediumish smoke. when they light up during the day or at night, the VHT doesnt make them any harder to see, i installed LED reverse lights today, and even with the regular ones they are easily seen, PIC!

Just had my opaque gtr overlays installed this weekend. Had 6/10's before that but wanted to go darker. They look awesome, and you totally have to appreciate the option that if you don't like them down the road...peel them off and you got stock perfectly new looking headlights. Overlays are for the ever changing mind croud

Yea i will post some up tonight cuz im at work now. Dont even consider the 3/10's because they are way too light...can barely tell they are tinted. Here is a link to some of your options: https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-in...-obsidian.html

just search bluebat and you will find plenty more links
