Here is the price for a nicely outfitted 2012 G37S. Granted it is MSRP and I did add some pricey options but I could have added even more and gotten closer to $60K.

Here is Edmunds TMV for an o9 GT-R with 20K miles in my zipcode.

Not too far apart and I have seen better prices on original owner cars in this area with fewer miles in the past. When people are getting laid off and having their homes repossessed luxury item prices tend to suffer. Not saying that this is a good thing, just reality.

If you are looking for a good value fun car, it is very hard to beat the new 5.0 Mustang. Ofcourse you can "always find a used super-car-M3-c63-ferrari-lamborghini" lol.

Please... I could probably option out a Honda Accord to match the price of a used M3.

In Australia Ford took the 5.0L GT and supercharged it, cranking out 440 wHP on every dyno thats tested it. They call it the FPV GT

Why would you even get a C63 AMG when you already have a G sedan? Unless you actually NEEDED a 3rd car, why get another sport sedan?

As I've said, other people have mentioned it, and I'm not calling your out or anything Falcon, just wondering what your train of thought is here.
Don't worry...i am not offended by it. Basically, I like AMG engines and their growl(Obviously their performance too).

I always wanted to own an SLK55 AMG roadster....but the OP asked what would you own for the same amount of a G37...used C63 AMG is the only one you can buy.

That 5.0 really is quite a motor, gets about 27 hwy and even without a supercharger, (just a less restrictive intake and exhaust, and a slightly more agressive cam design) the Boss 302 adds another 32 hp. The "plain" 5.0 that I drove really has some neck-snapping torque and the V8 rumble is delicious. It's definately on my short list when 2012 rolls around. My wife isn't sold on the styling but she really loves the way the car drives too. I've had several Ford products and never had any issues w/ any of them, and that was before their reliability really improved to the point they are today.

I saw that. Ford U.S. also offers gears in the rear end, and a supercharger (vortech) i believe option, dealer installed w/ full warranty when you buy the 5.0 Mustang new.
You can also get nav w/ sync, rear view camera, brembos and springs.

Ford is ahead........

I had the same feeling when test driving one, the "stock" power/tq is amazing, you can have fun all day just playing with the gas pedal, and when you floor it, it really gets naughty.

I wish I could test drive the BOSS on a track, it looks very impressive as well.

You just can't beat a good ol' US pushrod V8 for adrenaline pumping torque! If we can get the fit, finish and reliability in line then bring the suspensions up to modern day designs in the mustang, camaro etc. then we can be competitive with some of the Asian and European imports. Still, stop light to stop light you cant beat American Muscle!

My father-in-law bought a new IS-F in 08; charcoal with matching wheels....uh that thing is definitely ! Snaps my head back with just about every upshift. At approx. $10k less than an M3, and still sexy as hell, I'd say it's a good choice. I read about the Alpina before, but don't remember much about it.

I totally agree with you, but look into the 2000 Cobra R Mustang and the 2012 Boss 302 Mustang suspension.

The Boss 302 not only has 444hp and 380tq (N/A) it also comes from the factory with adjustable shocks and struts, TracKey software, and TracMode powertrain control software. Those two models have suspension better than almost any car (worldwide) for under $65,000
