I had an 09 g37 loaner the other day and noticed that it had Infiniti Kick Plates in the rear door. My friend has an 07 G sedan that also has rear kick plates that say Infiniti. My base 06 Maxima has rear kick plates that say Maxima. Why does my 2010 sedan have plain black rear kick plates? Did they forget to install them on my car? Is it included in a certain package? Or is it just not available for the 2010 model?

I'm assuming you mean the illuminated ones? They are an individually added option...not all cars come with them automatically...not part of any package...
No even the regular ones, the 2010s don't have the rear kick plates. I also noticed this when I had a older loaner. Another interesting thing I noticed was one of the panels was soft where as in the newer automatics its plastic.

On my 2010 it has the aluminum kick plate at the front doors and the plain black ones at the back doors. The back ones are really short, so I don't see how it saved Infiniti that much money.
When you read the other model car forums, one of the complaints is how they are all down grading the interiors to save money.
dang.. I didnt even notice I had cheap basic black kick plates.
Yeah, me neither...but now that's the only thing I'll see whenever I open the back doors. Cost cutting - it's evident everywhere except my monthly payment.

Me too. Didn't notice the rear kickplates....The other thing that they Taketh Away: I had power lumbar adjustment in my 2007 with Prem. package, now on my 2010 - manual lumbar. You get the power Lumbar with the sport package I beleieve that gives you the better seats.

I also thought it was pretty cheap to have a manual lumbar control on the standard G.
My '10 GS did come with aluminum rear kickplates. Funny how I never paid attention to that until I saw this thread and how many other 2010's came with the plain black ones.
Almatti, my G37S does not have a power lumbar, it's manual and the lever is hard to reach when you're driving...

nope, it's manual and only available for the driver. The other thing I don't like is there are no adjustable headrests for the rear passengers.
