I try to do it twice a year, spring, to clean winters salt away, and fall,to protect against the salt.
I use Mothers 3 step process, cleaner, polish then wax.

Polish - 1x a year
Wax - 1x a month
Clay - 1x a month
Seal - 3x per year before winter

Wax will only last you a month or two tops. I clay bar, polish, and seal twice a year. Once before winter and once in the spring. Then I just wax every month or so between that. Then I'll usually seal it one additional time in between the 2 full polishes.

I wax my G 1x a month. You need to be waxing it much more than 1-2 x's a year in order to keep it protected.

Claying every month is a bad idea without sealing/polishing. When you clay it takes everything down to the bare minimum. You should really only clay when you do your full detail

For every product you will get a different answer as durability varies.

I seal my car 2x a year and plan on waxing it 2x as well. Claying 2-3 times a year. I wash it each 10-20 days.

That's the last thing you want to do. Car washes usually end up doing more harm than good.
