I thought about getting a TL before the G37. Then I took a look at the TL and that made my decision.

Acuras are good cars, but their design, and FWD characteristics are a big turn off to me. They also don't offer anything sporty or in a two door that I would be interested in.

What were they bashing the G for, being a good looking, good performing bargain?

Oh wait, I know what it must have been. The G doesn't smile at them all the time!

For four years I owned a 3g TL....good looking car and very few problems. The 4g TL is another story - my gosh that thing is ugly...did not even give it a look before acquiring the G.

I still frequent that site, but mainly in the off-topic sections of car talk and ramblings. Those 4G TL guys are a different breed. They are VERY defensive of their cars and bash others to make them feel better about owning such an ugly car. The funny thing is a large majority of the members of that site are constantly bashing the looks of the 4G TL.

As others have mentioned, the 4G TL is techonologically a great car. When equipped with SH-AWD, it is a VERY capable car. It is unfortunate that they gave it such an unattractive exterior, which is why I didn't even consider it.

Coming from a 3G tl-s I thought that car was beautiful. I would have possibly sticked with Acura if they hadn't effed up the 4g so much... I can just imagine how far acura would have gone if they had made a Two Door CL (3G TL BODY but 2 doors) with RWD.

I think the TL sedan has a much better value than the G37 sedan , i had a 2010 TL for couple days and wow that thing feels like pure luxury inside , very nice interior vs the G!!! Don't get me^^^ wrong i love my coupe but i only seen a few sedans on here that caught my attention ! TL has great value but like some said it's FUGLY! I like the previous TL type S! A spec a lot better ! But FWD FTL!

they were commenting on the electronics, navi, and overall ride as some weak points for the G.

I loved my 05TL 6MT as well but not as much as my G.

Both are nice cars, but the G looks more luxury than the TL(at a quick glance!) on the other hand you couldn't fit 20's on the TL with a drop, plus it look like a more advanced civic si! but none the less both really nice whips!

Test drove a TL before I bought my G, just wasn't a driver's car. SH-AWD is a turn off.

I actually test drove a TL a few months after they were released. The cars interior was great, but performance wise...it was a let down.
