Just saw an ad for an Infiniti G25! What is Infiniti thinking? They are lowering the image of the G series by offering this fancy version of the gutless Altima. Wow what a shame.

 

What? Is the exact same car as the G37 but with a smaller engine. Also this isn't news, it was announced a while ago. It's been sold in Asia for a year or so already.

Just because it's sold elsewhere doesn't mean I have to like it or approve of it. I mean 218 hp, what a joke. I guess Infiniti wants to be like Lexus and the IS250 v. IS350.

very few.. g25 makes perfect sense.

 

Exactly. its a smart move. offer a G35 at the Power levels of the IS250 priced much lower with all the same features. BMW Lexus Mercedez all have tiered models of each version of their cars and i dont think their brand has suffered.

 

only thing I dislike about the g25, is the options. there aren't any...

Uh, yeah that's exactly the point. How many IS250s vs IS 350s do you see on the road. Or what about 328is vs 335is? Or C300s vs C350s? Most people just want a nice looking car that can keep up with traffic and merge saftely onto the highway. They don't a fully optioned car with the most powerful engine.

 

Ive seen way too many threads of guys whining about the G25! TAKE A SEC TO ACTUALLY THINK ABOUT IT!! Its another great move for this company in the right direction! The G35 brought Infiniti back from the dead, before the g35 who really knew of Infiniti? Cmon!! They were staying a float on the sales of Qx4's? haha. Think about how much this company has grown in the last 8 yrs! The BMW 3 series has been around FOREVER. Today only 8 yrs later they have produced a vehicle that is on track of overtaking a BMW which has been around for decades! Mark my words this company in the next 5 yrs will get the same respect as BMW/Mercedes!

 

umm...yes, like BMW 328 vs. 335, and Audi 2.0T vs. V6 engines and on and on...it's good business, whether you approve or not. just sayin.

 

What does a smaller engine G have to do with the Altima? The G is built on a totally different platform than the Altima.

Offering different engine options makes great sense when gas prices keep going up.
