so i bought my car in december 09 and i currently have 8850 miles on it right now. i have changed the oil twice. once at 2200 miles i believe and the other around 7100 miles. is there any other maintenance i should be doing besides changing the oil when required? also how often should i change it. they say 3750 should i do it earlier or later than that every time? thanks

 

Depends on your driving conditions. If you mainly drive at highway speeds, you are on Schedule 2. If not, go by Schedule 1.

 

im sorry my manual is at my house and i am far away ha. i know its stupid of me but is there a big difference between schedule two and one?

 

Here's the 2009 Service Guide. . I couldn't find the 2010 version online, but they are similar.

Read from page 7 to about page 20 and you'll understand what Schedule you need to be on and what service you need. Also, ignore the "Premium Maintenance" suggestions - they're just ripping you off.

 

i've had my car for 6 months and i have 11.5k on it...what're you doing? lol
depends on how you drive the car. for regular driving, do regular oil changes and take care of larger bits every 15k.

 

At each oil change (5k for me on Syn oil) I also take out the air filters and blow the debris off the filters w/ my air compressor.
