Looks very clean... Exactly as I imagined. Thanks for the pics.

Looks odd without the lettering. Maybe move the badge down to the center helps.

IMO (and since I did it on mine, lol) I'd remove the lettering and just leave the logo, it's nice and centered and gives a clean uncluttered look.

^not sure if directed toward me, but took care of this today! Sprayed goo gone gel on the letters, let sit for a few, dental floss took the letters right off, and the goo gone, soap water and a microfiber took care of the rest.

I know its not for everyone (my dad said its a "kids thing") but I like it. Also slapped some LI sticker I got in a bar when I went back home last week (cowrokers though it was a bird bomb). Next step is new plate frames (plain black) and tint (likely25%)

figured another photo couldnt hurt

looks good! i need to do this also. i have a spray that's a 'bumper sticker remover' and used that to remove the label off an acura TL. it did leave ghost marks, but i think that's mainly because of the cheap paint they put on hondas lol. omg, that car used to scratch so easily. good tip on using floss to remove. thanks!

Looks good! When I did mine I also removed the "G37" badge so all that was left was the Infiniti symbol. The trunk looks so much cleaner when it isn't all cluttered up with those Infiniti letters.

Okay so I was able to remove the labels using goo gone and cleaned it with windex but it leaves a ghost imprint in the back with smudges around the letters. What's the best way to remove that? Can I buff it out?
Edit: I just read above that maybe I need to try soap water and microfiber.... Hmm

^ Claybar and ultimate compound should get rid of it, then finish it off with wax.

I'm sure a blowdryer would help loosen the adhesive, but the residue and any outline of the letters came off after being soaked in goo gone gel and rubbed off with a MF towel soaked in soap water. I was just patient and took off little by little until the glue breaks down and start peeling off in pieces (my cars only a few weeks old if it matters)

And thanks for the compliments guys (and also to the posters that put up photos before me)

I got a car wash today to see if it helps get the stuff out but now the whole car has scratches and swirls that were previously never seen (this was my first wash since owning the car). The infiniti ghost letters are still visible with minor scratches all around the lettering. I don't have a buffer so all the cleaning will be done by hand. I will stop by Autozone or Advance Auto and pick up some stuff. I like the Meguiars brand and my car is black so will get their gold class quick detailer, m105 compound, m205 polish and quick wax products. I looked around the detail section of the thread and that's what I learned. Any other recommendations?

Pick up a clay bar and use it to remove all the residue before you start putting on wax and such. My buddy is a detailing freak and he used that on mine. it took all the leftovers off like a charm. He then used some 3 stage waxing process to get it back to shiny and new again. Looks great.

yup, this is all new to me. i usually take it to a car wash but they are charging $20 to buff just the trunk, $59 to wax the whole car or $229 to buff and wax the whole car.
