Climate Control Intake Air?

I have searched the manual and the board, but have not found an exact answer. I am thinking the answer is no, but is there anyway to make the fresh air circulation choice for the intake air setting "stick" I manually change it all the time and if you go to auto or turn thee car off it switches to recycle mode. I even held it down so both lights flashed, but that did not work either. I have a 2009 X with Prem and Nav.

When the air recirculates on auto, its purpose is to cool down the car faster. After the cabin is properly cooled down to the desired temperature, the system should automatically revert back to fresh air.
