You guys are something. I only installed new fog light bulbs, tints and bought a bunch of cleaning and detailing supplies. It would be nice to mod the car, but it's a lease and mods are pricey. Do you guys notice a big difference after the mods?

I kinda thought this car cannot be stolen due to the advanced key and ignition . They CAN steal your airbags though, but the club wouldn't help unless you have a wheel cover too. So having the club alone.... I don't see the point. On my previous car I had the Autolock, and I thought it was great.

The Club may turn out to be pointless. Never had one before.

However, sometimes I find myself in a large airport, stadium, mall or casino parking lot. I'd hope that the sight of the Club would encourage an interested onlooker to move on to easier pickings.

This is true. Modded or stock, The G is a nice car. It's tough to justify modding a leased vehicle. If the parts are easily removed, however, there is always the 'Classified' section. As for modifications making a big difference, I think suspension mods are definitely noticeable. Sway bars, springs/coilovers, etc... Performance-wise, not so much. Aesthetics, exhaust note, stereo, and things like that are a different story. Those types of modifications are based on personal preference and what one considers a worthwhile investment, of course.

Nothing is safe in NY metro. They could easily tow your entire car in a matters of minutes. My friend's car was stolen right from his drive way. He parked on his drive way, went inside his home for a few minutes, when he come back out, he asked "Where is my car?" My other friend got carjacked. He was driving and stopped at a red traffic light, a guy came out of no where with a gun pointing to my friend's head...

I do not want to calculate how much I've spent. So I'm going to pretend I didn't see this thread and slowly make my exit now, thank you.

I did not have my G for more than a couple weeks and had already spent $300 in cleaning supplies alone.

Living in NY, the best mod would be to make the car bulletproof

I was thinking about this and realized. I spent more than 1k just on detailing supplies. I dont want to think what I have spent on everything else.

Most of the mods I imagine are tought to take off, exhaust for example would be a pain to swap back and forth. But what about a sway bar?? First of all, what exactly is a sway bar (I have an idea but I'm not sure if I'm correct), how will it help, and is it easy to put on and take off??

Aftermarket sway bars are mounted under your car. They are stiffer than the stock bars and are adjustable to cater to your personal preference. Basically, their main function is to balance the vehicle by helping to control body roll. I have a set and love them. I really noticed a considerable difference in the ride over stock. But to each his own. Someone else may hate the ride of aftermarket sways... Anyway, here are a couple sets offered for our car.
