Everytime I fill up I check my trip odometer and gallons used....and have discovered that the trip computer seems to be spot on.

So maybe I got it right! My salesman just left the first-aid kit in the backseat or trunk or whatever.

Interestingly enough, that information seems to be completely hidden. I searched through my entire pdf manual on the words armrest, first, aid, and kit, and found nothing about it.

The only reference to it anymore seems to be in the specs link of the "build your sedan" section of the Infiniti website.

Still, I think I'll leave the f-a kit in the trunk and let my daughter find it to hide her toys as someone else suggested.

Holy Crap! Can't believe I never saw that, but on the other hand, I am never in the back seat on the passenger's side.

Mine contained a map with the initials J.H. and something about Giant's Stadium Foundation. It appeared to have blood on it. Not sure what is means. It is badly faded. Wait I also see way in the back a lantern....and yes, a sword of elvish antiquity. What the heck is all this stuff?

I just went out and looked expecting to find a little tissue holder on the armrest. How odd - and covered with a velcro flap.

According to the Infiniti site it's on the coupe too. At least for the 2010. Did you check under the leather on the side? If I remember correctly, (I think I only looked at it once or twice) it wraps around and velcros -- lifts up to reveal the compartment

edit:
I just went out and grabbed a pic. The leather flap cover is pretty hard to miss (if you're looking for it), so I guess the '08 coupe didn't have it yet. As good as I could get with the carseat in the way, holding the leather flap cover up:

I just went and had a look; I now remember coming across this a year or so ago accidently. Nothing is in mine, I guess it makes sense for the first aid kit to go in there.

I took a field trip to the garage this evening and found this magical slot. I then attempted to JAM the first aid kit in it. I found the slot too small to insert the first aid kit (unless I wanted to remove items from the kit). Put the kit back in the trunk realizing that there went 5 minutes of my life I will never get back

as someone said, my FAK has velcro on the back side of it and it's been stuck to the side of the trunk as is the owner's manual package when purchased so I'm assuming the slot was an afterthought (or beforethought?) for a FAK and they just decided to leave it there. I too discovered it by accident a month ago.
