My prev car was 43% solar guard. The car didn't have any factory tint at all.

With the G having some factory tint, will the same 43% sheet look darker on the car. Silly question, I guess it obviously will.

With Philly getting a 55 degree day on Monday, I realized do miss tint. Dropping her off tomorrow!

my white 2010 G37xS was tinted today. I posted the pics and info in my intro thread which is/will be an accumulated thread regarding progress with this car.

but I wanted to post the info and images here, in this dedicated tint thread, so it can help tint shoppers.

My taste for window tint is unique. I don't like it blacked out.
So between my taste in appearance and my desire to keep the resale value of the car high, I didn't go very dark. Today I had the windows tinted with Solar Gard 50%.
My philosophy is a bit different from the typical window tint customer, I realize that.
Different strokes - for different folks.
The G has a bit more factory tint than a typical car or I would have gone with my usual 43% Solar Gard.
I took a lot of pics at various angles. The angle and sunlight make a huge difference when looking at pics of tinted cars.

It's fairly obvious who tinted the car
SunSational Window Tint Company
610-277-4344
They are a medium size operation in Bridgeport, PA about 3 miles from King of Prussia and 1 mile from Norristown. They are VERY good. I dropped off the car at 830am and picked it up at 2pm. It looks fantastic. Best tint job I've ever seen and I've had about 8 cars tinted over the years myself. They also do vinyl.

If you go/call them, tell Al (owner) or Danielle (office mgr) that I sent you -Ryan the paper guy. The price for this car was $250.00. Which in other parts of the country, may sound high. But around here, that is a pretty good price for a QUALITY sedan job. Lifetime warranty (film and installation).

These pics were at 2pm in some pretty decent direct sunlight. Sunroof closed, sunroof shade open:

At this point the car is parked at dusk. The sunroof shade is still open. Sunroof closed. No direct sunlight on the car:

thx man. I thought the same thing. it's really 50%!

I was going to go with my standard 43% but I knew with the factory tint being decent, it would be too dark for ME. appreciate the kind remark. cheers.

Really!? Front and rear look the same and they actually look dark for the %... interesting, I always hated different front to rear, but that looks good and would also keep it legal here in Ohio. I'm surprised..

the 35% looks right, but the 50% does look a little dark for what it is...and the shades are rather close.
