Today I was driving from Atlanta to Jacksonville FL. I had the navi set and an hour into the trip the screen blacked out and restarted just as if I had turned the car on, the Infiniti startup screen, "hhd whatever it says" screen. Then back to normal like the harddrive was restarted or something. Then about an hour after that it did it again. It never happened for the last hours of the trip though. Friday morning When I drove to ATL it never happened for the 6 hour trip there.

Anyone had this happen? Thoughts?

 

I had that happen a few times on my 08. Never had it happen on my 09 though. Just keep an eye on it. If it continues to happen, take it in. But think of it as a computer (as it is). Sometimes it just needs a reboot.

 

Just thought it was wierd. This is my 4th g with navi and never once had it happen on any of the others before.

 

I don't have nav, but I was backing up, and the radio was on, and suddenly the whole thing went black but the music was still playing for a bit. Then the music died and then in a few seconds, the Infiniti emblem appeared and everything became normal. Happened just once so far.

 

I had the same thing happen a couple times now. It's not a big issue yet, just a minor annoyance, but if it continues to happen I am going right to infiniti.
