The M56 is nice and all but for the money I'd be buying a CTS-V.
the CTS-V isn't as luxurious of an interior. If you look at the E550 vs the M56 then you're playing the right game.

For the money, i'd go CTS-V over the M3 sedan all day long

My fiance has owned a first gen and second gen TSX and besides the low end power, it's a great car. Lots of nice toys and a very smooth and ride. I also test drove the 2010 TL 6MT AWL and it's definitely a more luxurious ride when compared to the G, which to me was sort of a turn off. I'm more partial to the road feedback the G provides. Also, the price tag th1te of the TL was about 5-6K higher than the G for a similar list of options.

i had an 04 TSX and then upgraded to an 05 TL. Both were 6MT. I liked my tsx but it was too underpowered. My TL was much better. Actually really liked the TL but wanted something new and so i came to my G37s 6MT. I love my G but it doesn't feel much faster than my TL.

Handling is much better though on the G than both previous cars.

Has anyone switched from G to TL or TSX, LOL, thats what I want to know. Its a natural progression from TL/TSX to G, the reverse would be counter intuitive IMO. I stand to be corrected.

Actually, that is true - the stories all quote 'pent up consumer demand' everybody is genreally doing much better. If the G sedan moved 1-2k more unites a month, we'd get better mods! And cheaper!

CTS-V is such a different car than the M56 - probably not a lot of crossover in terms of demographic.

Before purchasing my G, I had been looking at low mileage 06/07 TSX 6spds. After not being able to strike a deal with any dealers, I started looking at G's. And I stopped looking at everything else. The G is far more car than the Acura, imo. I am (or was) a big Honda/Acura fan, but I find all of their new cars very uninspired. And feel that their prices are starting to creep up a bit high. Looking at a $25k Accord made me feel very good about the price I got my G for.

Yes! You can get a new cam and a tun for the CTS under 2k. Try that in a 2010 M3!

I can't speak for the 2nd gen, but my 06 TSX was anything but a smooth ride. Great handling, yes, but smooth? I once saw a post from a TSX owner that said "if I run over a dime, I an tell whether its heads or tails". Also, the TSX did a lot of tramlining. All typical side-effects of being well connected to the road, but not always comfortable.

I just got my G in Feb. In the process of looking for a new car, I had narrowed down the list to two choices. The G and an Acura. The only reason the Acura was in the list was because it was the much cheaper version car. After finding a good deal on the G, i jumped on that easily. I could easily see where, at its price point, the Acura would sell more than the G. Heck the G sells more than the Bentlys...know what I mean.

Acura is crap, I also have a rdx turbo.

What a pos, that truck has had double the service visits my g has.

everything from bad calipers to interior parts falling off in my hand.

I had it in for service, all 4 door handles had to be replaced.

Who has a 3 year old car that has never been hit, with all the problems this thing has.

Thank god its a lease 4 more months & im out.

Just because acura sold more units than infiniti, dont mean nada to me.

They make some really weak *** products, & they dont take care of any of the problems.

We have a gigantic hole in the carpet amongst a ton of other problems.

I got less excuses from the pontiac dealer when my 1991 Trans Am GTA I had blew the motor at 8k.

Cool. You know, had Acura not gone south with their current design, I'd have seriously considered the TL. I was a big fan of Honda/Acura until recently.

That's not to say their cars are crap. Maybe RISKY GUY got a bad case but overall Acura's quality is still at the top. Or part of the reason is because they are assembled in the US?

Honda might only make FWD platforms, but their chassis is fantastic.

I liked the Acura lineup much better when they first got started as an upmarket nameplate. The initial Legend Sedans, Integra Coupe/Sedan, and shortly after the NSX & Vigor~these were all nice cars for the price, styled well and on par w/ Lexus (NSX was way ahead of its' time) although more fun to drive. Current Acuras are still quality vehicles, but the styling and "fun factor" have gone down a few notches. I'm very surprized Acura hasn't used the great Honda S2000 as a base for a fun rwd performance coupe, seems like a natural progression but maybe having a zippy rwd performance ride would go against everything Acura is at the moment

Ever drive a Mini Cooper? They don't torque steer.

MOST FWD cars torque steer, but not all. It depends on the design.

Understeer on power out is usually the bigger issue
