I may try to do it myself or take to a machinist. What could I you to notch this?

If it were me, Id just take it to a machine shop and pay them a couple of bucks. I personally don't have access to the tools to do a good job of that myself.

There are ways to subscribe to thread (assuming that's what you were trying to do?) without commenting and bumping.
