Why didn't you buy the coupe?

How many of you guys get asked that question? I get the question at least once a day and it is sooo annoying!

The modded coupes on here are hot!!! But sooooo many people have them. I couldnt tell you how many Sorostitutes in college drove them around after begging daddy.

I got the sedan because I feel it is way more luxury with still the same great amount of sport.

What are your reasons???

i got the sedan because i want the space and room a 4 door provides. You get to have people in your car without the trouble of moving your seat forward to let them in or out. You get the added utility of putting things in the back seat. I also fish, so fishing poles will not fit in the coupe.

Also, the looks are nice. I got the sport and that makes my car a little rare. Also, the sedan is lighter and actually has a quicker 0-60 time from Road & Track.

I got the sedan because I wanted a sedan. Personally, I don't think the current coupe looks that great. The previous gen looks so much better.

Don’t be annoyed. As has been discussed many times before, it’s a personal choice, dependent on one’s situation, life style and subjective preferences. It doesn’t mean one is better than another, nor should it influence what you inherently prefer. It’s like the time someone asked me what was my favorite color. When I said blue, he said “wrong!” It was then I ended the conversation.

The utility with friends is def another reason why I went sedan. Even though they were the first ones to question the sedan.

The same friends that complain when they have to get in the back seat of my best friends G coupe....

Perhaps you missed my point by asking that question. But to put it another way, what would you do if someone told you that wanting four doors was a poor choice, that two doors was the only way to go? What would be your response?

The coupe costs more, is heavier, slower, much less practical, and depending on who you ask, looks worse than the sedan. Tell me again why anyone would buy the coupe??

I'm very happy with my sedan!

I wanted my steering wheel to move out of my way when I got out of the car =P ha ha ha

plus as a daily driver, the trunk space and seating comfort was a plus. not to mention I just happened to think the sedan looked nicer. but I have to admit I do miss driving a manual daily. oh well. that's what the weekend car is for!

The real question is why so many of us upgraded 1-2 years after buying to another G. so many of us went from 05s to 08s couples, 07-08 sedans to 09-10 sedans. it's quite amazing...

The only reason I got the sedan was I have two young kids and it is so much easier getting them in and out of the car with car seats having 4 doors. If it wasn't for that I would have bought the coupe in a second. I think it looks much better, is more common in the 6MT than the sedan (which was almost impossible to find) and has a lot more mod options for it. I don't care for the looks of the sedan at all...the front end just doesn't flow into the car like the coupe. But I love the rest of the car, so I overlooked that because I had to.
