Why didn't you buy the coupe?
I need the extra room and I prefer the styling of the sedan over the coupe. But If had bought the coupe the electronic seats that slide forward to let passengers out of the back seat would of driven me nuts. Too slow for my taste I'd still prefer the old fashion manual ones that tilted forward.
Also no offense to coupe owners but if didn't need the space I would of bought a 370Z over the G37S coupe. Unless I really needed the small back seat for young kids.

My wife hauls kids around enough to justify the sedan, and friends don't mind the back seat for short drives. I just like the look of the sedan, if I was considering a coupe I think I'd just forget the back seat altogether and get the 370Z.
I went into my search looking for a sporty fun to drive coupe. I ended up looking between the G coupe, a BMW 3 series coupe and a Honda accord coupe. Once I narrowed that down to the G because of both the performance and the price advantages, I began to look at the coupe and the sedan together. "I" really like the look of the coupe over the sedan, but in the end, I couldn't justify spending more money for less car in most areas other than the looks.
I guess if I was buying a car for just the looks, then there would have been a lot of choices.
By the way, I am happy with my choice. I use the car as an everyday rider and I would have been limited without a functional back seat and trunk.
To each his own.

I was actually looking to buy a Mustang GT, among other things, but I needed room for a carseat. My wife has an SUV so a small car wouldn't have been too bad, but I had been driving a two-door econobox since college and I was admittedly getting tired of getting my toddler in and out of the backseat through the front door. So my other choice was a Hemi-Charger (R/T) but there was something I just didn't quite like about that one.
I testdrove the G sedan on a whim and just liked it much better. The American V8s seemed more designed for straight line power whereas the Japanese V6 was high-revving and seemed to have a better torque band, was definitely more luxurious and looked like better build-quality on the interior. Plus I liked being able to get an MT in lux (or entry-lux) sedan.
If I was going for a coupe I probably would have just gone with the Ford. But I'm glad I made the choice I did. I love the sedan and think it's a much better car than those others. It felt like I could have my cake and eat it too: fun to drive, RWD, power, sporty, plus enough room for the family.

It's lighter than the coupe(therefore faster), cheaper than the coupe, and most importantly, I have two kids. My last car was a coupe and it was a PITA letting the kids in and out(and that was with mechanical seats). I can't imagine waiting for the electric seats to tilt forward and back. And like someone already mentioned, there are coupes everywhere. I've yet to see another blue slate G37S sedan.
