just bought new G37 Sedan premium sports sedan

I just bought a new 2010 g37 sedan premium sports with nav. my final cash price not including the DMW fees was $37,830. i think i paid 500 dollars below invoice. is this a good price?

also you guys have any tips i should know about with this new car? detailing, cleaning, maintainance? I noticed the brakes need to be worn in a little. is that true?

thanks!

its called 8 hours of patience at the dealer and them not wanting to let me leave without a car.

I orginally went to take an 08 sport off their hands but deal couldn't work out.

I just kept saying no

it was 29 and change if that really matters.

$37,830 is pretty good, I got lucky I think with $36,900 for '10 Sedan AT premium sports navi this past weekend. Dealerships are hurting for business, folks should be able to get a good deal. Could've gotten the same car minus the sports pkg for $34,900, but they did not have the black/black in stock. Shot them an offer for the in-stock sports and glad I did, drives like a dream. My '03 eclipse GTS I traded in body rolled like a whale.

LightsOut, that IS a good deal, enjoy!!

dsniegocki - wow, you got a great deal. Where did you find such a good deal? That's almost 3300 below invoice for 2010 sedan with premium/navi.

Infiniti of Charlotte ... fantastic place to go if you're in the area. I was back and forth between them and another Infiniti dealer for a solid week, they kept trying to out-do each other. I originally did not want the sports pkg, but they didn't have the one I wanted in stock (and the "other" guys did...) so I made them a lowball offer on the sports version that they had in stock. Sticker on that baby was $41,780.

Lest you think it was TOO good of a deal, the $36,900 was before tax, tag and $595 dealer fee.

Mine came to something like $3,000 below invoice partly because of cash-to-dealer incentives. I also bought mine at the end of the model year when there are more incentives available and they're trying to clear inventory.

Invoice isn't necessarily the real price the dealer paid for the car. In addition to factory incentives, there's also dealer holdback which knocks off around 3% of the sticker.

Come on dude! Car dealership ain't in business to lose thousands to you or anyone per car. Be realistic!

At some point, the dealer has to cut losses.

But, when it comes to that point, you have to take what is left; you do not get the option of picking the exact car you want.

I hate all you guys with these 32 and 33k premium + whatever OTD prices. I paid 31.5k - way too much for my journey, and rolled a couple of k of neg equity into the loan from my trade in. I don't know what got into me - usually I'm a really good car negotiator, bought my last two cars for really, really good deals. I'll be forever upside down. Maybe Rod Stewart will write song for me. I know, most people on this board are reading and saying, Rod who?
