I think you are better off self parking. But when I go to places like that or I'm going to be in area where I have to park next to other people I used my old 94 Accord.

Be careful. My wife goes to conventions in AC about 2 x a year and got a large door ding at the most recent conversion.

just search "vellet parking" on youtube and watch what velets were doing with people's $40K+ cars

even if I hadn't seen that on national news I never would let a valet touch my G

i think you know the answer to this question already

I don't pay for anything at the Casino. My parents are there 3-4 weekends a month. Even if I valet park they park the car in a different area because I just show my parents VIP pass.

One of my friends is going and he has a Handicap sticker for his disability. I could use that and self park since he has hard time walking long distances without having to stop.

valet self park. Go up to the valet and tell them you want to pay for parking in valet but would prefer to drive it your self. If they try to say no offer to tip the guy a little extra.

No. I've heard too many stories. Seen too much on youtube. I'm sure many Valets (maybe even most) are respectful of other people's property, but it's impossible to tell which ones are not.

I wish they would let you do that. The Borgata does not let anyone into the valet parking area. Even if you forgot something in your car they have to bring it around for you to get it out.

That's why I would use my Honda. In fact I spoke to wife a few minutes ago and that where she normally goes on convention. But she's a stubborn B, she has no plans to use the Honda next time. Oh well, at least she's using her car and not my G.

There is plenty of self parking at the Borgata. I always park there.
If you're worried, park at the far end from the elevators. I don't think I've ever seen the garage so full that there aren't some spaces with no other cars around.

I used to work as a valet when I was a teenager. And yes, some of us were respectful to other people's property (mainly me), but most of us were not.

Guys at work would call each other once they were driving something decent and the conversation would go... "What u driving? A 997 Carrera, you? Oh s#!t, let's tear it up... I got a SLK32 AMG.... let's go on the highway..."

Also, valets steal. They stole anything... Money, spare change, portable navi's, radar detectors, cigarettes, things they can use, things they can sell....anything.
My second day working, I was parking a car and I saw one of the valets rolling a BMW 745i spare towards his car (the spare on that car looks exactly like the any of the normal wheels the car is riding on - 19' with the same tire)

Later on I asked him WHY???? He said he already stole 3, and that this one completes the set and he is putting it on ebay for $2,500. Shameless.

Never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER give your car to a valet.
