Just Picked up my fourth G sedan today.

Only had a few months left on the lease of my '07, dropped it off and picked up my new one today.

Got a '10 Journey, Black obsidian with Charcoal with Sport, Premium, Navi, midnight grill and illuminated kick plates.

Im taking it to get tinted tomorrow and to pick up black vinyl to black out the chrome trim around the windows this weekend.

Congrats! Pics please?

On the blackout think, I actually find it look better with the chrome trim on a black car.

Yeah some people like the chrome, I like it blacked out. The good thing with vinyl is it can be removed easily if i get sick of it. I'll post pics this weekend after I get that stuff done.

I so want to black out my chrome.

I took a look at how close the rubber seal is against the chrome and its pretty dam close on the window seal side.

How are you planning on cutting the vinyl without cutting the rubber?

Can you take some pics as you go?

I would love to see how its comes out.

Congrats! Please let us know if you see a difference/improvement in the paint quality. As I understand it, the 2010 has a hard clear rather than the "self healing" paint that didn't end up working out too well. Were your last Gs black as well?

You just gotta have a steady hand and make sure you have the vinyl stuck all the way to the edge of the rubber and I'll be using a hairdryer to get it heated, then just use a steady hand and cut as close as I can to the rubber.

Ill try to take pics. There is a guy that posted an instructional vid on another thread on here that is helpful to watch.
