As of today, well delivery Wednesday, I am the proudnew Leasee of an 09 G37x Sedan. What i was wondering from you guys is which mods should I go for first. I'm going to black out the tail lights and smoke the front. Im on 16 so I can't be spending thousands and thousands of dollars on mods, which although are great, they're a bit expensive. before you make a stereotype IM PAYING for the car, or at least the monthly payments!!! and if anyone has pics of a blacked out black sedan that would be great, Thanks GUYS!!! I'll put up pics as soon as i have the car

I would stay away from blacking out lights since it's illegal in most states.

 

I would just get your car tinted first then switch the hid bulbs to 6000k. smoking out taillights on a stock car doesnt look right.

 

First off: CONGRATS on the new car!

Second: You just said you leased the car....are you sure you want to be doing mods? Everything has to be back to the factory look/settings before you turn the lease in, or they actually charge you big money....just a heads up.

Lastly, Are you still in high school? If you dont mind me asking, how do you afford the $400+ a month on your lease plus the $100 a month on insurance? I wish I was making that kind of money back in highschool. I was making $6 an hour! LOL

 

regarding the HID bulbs, is it just a straight swap? meaning can i get a replacement HID bulb or do I also need the Ballast? and regarding the lights, i truly like the look. As far as legality I've blacked out a White Tahoe and i still have to get pulled over, its my mothers car/my experiment before I do everything to my car...

 

My lease is for 355, its 1000 Under invoice, i think the final price was 34k from the 35k Dealer and the 39k MSRP on the website, and the insurance is quiet hefty, $200. Luckily my parents gotmy back on that one. And during the summer i make 350+ a week, so i get like 10 weeks work, and then i can pay the lease...

 

I was just informed by the Dealer they sold me a car they DIDN'T have, i had selected black on black but settled for Silver on Black, this way I can do a black roof and black out the window trim!!!

Yes... And regarding the returning to stock, I know. Thats why Im going to do the roof in vinyl wrap, and the trim as well

 

Congrats! Definitely go with tint...that would be my first choice.

 

I agree tint should always be the first thing done to a car!

I'm 16 too my parents and I split the cost half and half and bought the car. G37 coupe
And congrats on the car, just be easy on the mods with a lease because as said before they will get you when it's turn in time.

 

Thanks to everyone for their replies, I'll take your advice and i'll do the tints. I'm thinking 20%...? or maybe keep it legal at 35%, especially how im blacking out the tail lights, I dont wanna give cops more reason to pull me over...

 

Personally i tinted my BlackMamba 20% and i think it looks real classy. I think since my car isn't one that has a ton of mods that it would look tacky going to dark. I don't know about the taillights though bro. Congrats on the new whip and welcome to our family!!!

 

I guess it would seem as if everyone is against tinting the lights, i've done a quick rendering and they seem to look pretty good...
