shovel and wash

Shovel the driveway...wash the car...a fact of life here in New England.

Hope you southern guys appreciate the beautiful weather you have.

Here's my new baby...traded my '08 coupe 6 MT for this beauty. And yes the white spots in the photo are snow flurries as I finished drying. I got it in the garage and the snow came down like a blizzard...Come on Spring!

That's dedication right there! Looks good!

How's the light output from the fogs in the '10? I was considering getting a set of PIAAs since the light output from the integrated fogs is subpar at best.

Thanks!...couldn't stand to look at it covered with salt and sand. Gonna detail in the garage today...got a heater last night... should be good to go!

Only had the car for a week...and had the fogs on once...didn't seem to make a big difference but I would say a little better that the integrated ones on my '08.

My guess is after-markets are prob better. They could/should have done a better job integrating these into the bumper too. IMO they stick out a bit too far and don't like the chrome housings.

By the way...used Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax today....amazing!...doubt if I'll ever use detailing spray again!

I saw claims on the net of 10 minute jobs with this stuff. That's not realistic. If you do a good job and include the door jambs etc...its closer to 45 minutes. That's still a small amount of time for such a noticeable difference.

This stuff is fantastic. Doesn't stain the black rubber and plastic and puts a great shine on..here's a before and after on the trunk.

Looks like it has some fillers in it that will mask swirl marks. Definitely looks better in the "after" photo.

The next time I get grief from my wife for spending too much time washing my car, I'm showing her the "snow wash" photos.
