Engine bay salt stains

When it rains, I get steam out of the grill. I know water gets in the engine bay because of the salt stains. I've never seen salt stains in the engine bay of any other car I've owned. Anyone else?

Thanks

Yeah I noticed this too on my 09. I had a 04 coupe and never had any salt or water stains. Looks like the weatherstripping isn't good enough to keep the compartment clean anymore.

Something else I noticed is when it rains and I park the car, there is steam coming from the engine bay due to the water splashing on the engine. Anyone else notice this? I have never seen this on any other car I have ever driven.

What's up guys,

Just got my car back yesterday from being in the shop for a month, I got slammed in the back corner on the highway while stopped in traffic, messed up thing was I saw her coming real fast in the rearview and I knew she wasn't going to stop in time so I tried to cut into the breakdown lane at the last second but she hit the corner of my car, I ended up having over 8k in damage (don't worry I got all original Infiniti parts for my 4 month old car) but so far after inspecting it a little bit (it's been raining here for the last 2 days) the autobody did a damn good job (knock on wood!).

Well anyway, got off the subject a little bit sorry, I brought the car home yesterday and parked it and sat there for awhile while I fixed all my settings and I noticed a lot of steam coming from the front in the engine, I opened up the hood and didn't smell any fluids so I assumed it was caused because it was raining cats and dogs here in the Boston area so that with the humidity caused the steam to come up like the way it did.

So hitdog if you noticed this yesterday like I did I think we're in the same boat because of where we live!
