The Infiniti service manager here directed me to this site, which was VERY helpful:
Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing

According to that site, you can mount 245 tires on the OEM rims (7.5).

First thing I did when I got my G37xS was swap out the tires and wheels. I wanted to go w/ the 245/45/18 on all four, just like you, but after talking with the service manager and TireRack sales rep, I decided to go w/ 235/45/18 all around and couldn't be happier. I went w/ a slightly wider rim than the OEM (8.0 vs. 7.5) which helped a little bit w/ the aesthetics. The Infiniti rep and TireRack rep both said that there was a chance of rubbing on the front wheel wells (they weren't absolutely sure though) so I took their advice and played it safe.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info, for sure! I may have to take the chance for the 245's, but will have to wait for another month or 2 since works a bit slow this time of year.

i'm suprised that 235's haven't thrown VDC, because the overall diameter of the tire is off more that it would be with 245/45/18

Wow... that really looks sick man! I'd say don't do the roof though, personally.

But I would say paint the chrome window trim a flat black.

Yeah, just stay w/in 3% difference and use the same size tire all the way around and you won't throw off the VDC on the AWD.

Car looks awesome, incredible job w/ that film, really like the trunk trim~PERFECT!

Here's a link from my 07 G, I had staggered 18" sport rims and went w/ 235/50/18s all around and it worked great. No diameter issues as they're virtually the same as stock. There's some pics on the link too. Enjoy your new G and keep those pic updates coming!
