Anymore disappointments?

I think the 512 songs is not really a bummer. I don't even use it....i think it was a bit of a waste in the first place. I fully expect the CF slot to dissapear in the next gen due out in 2 years or so.

No limitations with my itouch. Sometimes you have to click a few times to get it to advance to the artists albums or back up to the top screen and try again. Me thinks its the itouch that is the problem. Apple products are not perfect.

This is gonna be a newbie question but what do you mean exactly? If you could explain in detail it would be appreciated. I'm currently using a 4th gen ipod nano on my new G but havent had any problems yet with it.

I use the buttons on the steering wheel to navigate mine. Much better than reaching over to the touch screen. Navigating the menus is the same, up/down enter/esc.

Sometimes with my itouch (2nd gen, 32GB) if I'm playing a song I might decide to change artists. Using the steering wheel I'll hit "back" and get to the songs of the artist i'm listening to, then "back" again to get to the albums of that artist, then back again and I'm looking at all the artists on my ipod. Trouble is...if i scrool to a new artist and hit "enter"....it lights up, but won't budge (i.e. won't show me that artists albums). I have to hit back again to get to the "top page" which shows artist, genere, playlists, etc. This is much less work than it sounds...b/c its really only an extra click back to get to the top screen. I'd have to click twice as it is.

Again, it might be more a problem with the touch than with the car's interface. I might pick up an old classic and throw it in there since it's more basic. Don't forget, apple can't get the coverflow bug fixed with the touch...so again...they're not perfect.

You have a hell of a lot more patience than I do. I would never wait to get my car to get a USB port instead of the CF slot.

If you have a cigarette lighter charger, ya it'll work. What id just recommend is get a 3th gen ipod nano from like craigslist for 30-40 bucks for the 8gb. Then leave it in the car forever charging and playing music.. lol

There is an adapter. I have it but I cannot find the name. Ask the dealer. It is available over the web and it works with the iPhone and 4th gen iPods. I have one in each of mine and they work great. I'll look it up when I get home and I'll post if no one else does.

I saw that too, but have only had the car for a couple of dyas and haven't tried the touch yet.. Has anyone tested this?

If the 2G touch won't charge, I'll just get a refurb nano from the Apple Store and leave it in the car, but charging the touch would be nice.
