I'm guessing black has the most and white has the least swirls right?

How about blue slate and platinum graphite?

cleaned correctly no car should have any swirls regardless of color. Most of my cars have been black with no swirls

all cars have the same amount of swirls if taken care of incorrectly, it just shows up more on darker colors

thanks for answering all my beginner questions.

so if i were to get a brand new black car...on avg if i keep it in the garage when parked, how often would i have to get my car polished and detailed to get rid of the swirls? I guess it all depends on personal preference but could you give me a rough idea?

thanks!

ps-i never owned a real nice car before to detail...

It's not really where you keep it, it's more like how you wash it.

Using a good micro-fiber wash mit and a straight wash action, you should not have swirls. Also never let the dealer wash it.

I've got a 3 year old card (dark color) and it's fine. Except for rock chips.

i have a blue state, and i think the special auto repair clear from infiniti is very prone to make swirl. I had a 2007 tl , and when i giive it back after two years it has less swirls than when i picked up my g37 to the dealer. i really take care of my car, touchless wash, microfiber , good wax etc...
my tl was almost the same color as blue state

My G has no problem with swirls. I had some after a dealer wash, but after a day in the Sun they were gone.

most of the cars that you buy from the dealer already have swirl marks because they have already washed it multiple times.
You just have to make a deal with them when you purchase it and tell them that you want a free detail with the car.

Black shows swirl the most. (IMO, it's impossible to own a black car and it not have swirls is you look close enough. White shows swirls the least, almost impossible to detect.

Got to disagree with you there Excuses, I use a good soap (ICE) with a OXO soft car brush, pressure hose, filtered water, and too dry I use a leaf blower. If I do get a blemish ICE spray will remove it. I just turned in my SRT Jeep (black) and have a 010 G37XS on order (black). Besides black is the fastest color.
