best way to lauch g37x at

I noticed from 0 to 60. if i press the throttle quickly to the floor, even with vdc off, it seems a bit slow at the beginning. If i use a 50% around throttle the car take off faster.
Am i wright ?

what's the best way, it's an AT AWD

With AWD, brake "torquing" is the preferred means of achieving best launch -- this is how the car magazines do it (see the fine print on any C&D article at the bottom, they now include their launching techniques for all cars, manual and automatic -- and they frequently get better times by brake torquing -- brake "stalling" the car before a launch.

It's not good for your torque convertor -- but just don't do it all the time. The way the throttle is mapped on the '09's vs. '08's leads to this "slower" off the line effect... my wife's 2k8 G is blisteringly quick off the line... just by mashing on the gas -- no brake torquing needed.

Thank you. I did some 0-60 mph , without sophisticated instruments. But with a mormal launch, it's difficult to go under 6 sec. I would say around 6.4 is more realistic. That' s why i posted this question , i saw G17 AT AWD, do it in 5.2-5.3s in car mag. And i thought the difference was huge, even though it's a bit heavier

Remember, car mag's are doing 0-60 tests in optimal and constant conditions. Temperature is a big variable. If you are trying to compare a 0-60 time in 60 degree weather vs 90 degree weather, you will definitely have some differences.

MAgazines use a 1-5 foot rollout and adjust the times for temperature and altitude. What are you using to get your times? Try to do a 0-60 vs that TL you have in your signature and you will see they are nto even close. The 08s did respond to the throttle quicker but thats an illusion. In the end they are about the same.

I also noticed that whether you are half way on the throttle or all the way makes no real difference on my 09, but break torquing does. The car just jumps off the line and gets into the power band quicker. Try it.

thank you, with a few feet of roll out it's better. Compare to my tl (i don't have it anymore) for sure g37 is faster. About the throttle position, it loks likes sometimes ifi'm 100% of throttle the car stall a bit. Sometimes when the throttle is almost as the position of kickdown i'm surprised by the fast takeoff. So i think electronic sometimes make adjustment. Even in D, i'm reallyimpressed with the take off. But it's not consistent.
to mesure my 0-60 i use my nice chrono watch and my eyes on the mph meter

If you are getting mor epower with less throttle, your answer is VDC.

The best launch is VDC off, Stall to around 2k rpms and go all out.
