Smile Waiting on my G37

I just put down a deposit yesterday on a G37XS in black. What are these things rare? My dealer is having a hard time finding one. The waiting is killing me!

Thanks for the information posted about the tranny in the auto. Worries me that they don't have a fix yet.

I'll post pics once I get it. Hopefully next week.

Try waiting for a G37S sedan in the Northeast.
Have patience.

I just put my down payment on a black/black g37xs w/ tech. Dealer said she had to pull a few strings to get it but got ahold of one, so it sounds like it is somewhat rare.
best of luck in your new ride!

09 G37Xs's are getting hard to find. My dealer only had 1 in stock last Saturday.
Plenty of X's.

Out of curiosity, what is it on the xS that people are wanting? It seems like most of the sport options are removed when the AWD is there.

Do they charge the same for the sport option on an AWD as they do a RWD?

I think the sport was another 1100 dollars... and basically it got you a "sportier" bumper and 18" rims and tires and paddle shifters and a little red S on the trunk... dats about it..

I think (IMHO) the 1100 was worth it for rims and tires and I like the bumper on the S better than the non-S.. don't really use the paddles

Don't forget the Sport Seats. Yes it's $1,100 on the AWD and $2,100 on the RWD.
Peter I also don't use the paddles too much. But I do use them mainly when I'm in D mode for a quick downshift and neck-snapping passing power. The good thing about using the paddles while in D-mode is once the actions ends the gearbox is still in D and goes back to shifting on it's own.

Just heard from the Manager at the dealership. He told me there are no black XS models with less than a 100 miles on it and no front lic plate bracket (2 of my demands) with the packages I want on it. He said he could order one from the port, but would not have it until 1st week in June. I told him to look for 2 different colors. Blue slate or Grey. Hopefully, maybe now he can find something! Are the 2010 models coming in? Maybe that is why.....

Blue slate is a very nice color. You should definately consider it.

There won't be any 2010's until they sell the SEA of 09s they got lined up in the ports.

Just heard again from the dealer. He has a blue slate one for me. Now do I like the color????? I went to another dealer today. They have lots of colors in the gxS but the key missing feature in them is NAV.

Oh yeah -- i LOVE the sport seats -- worth at least $500 to me alone .. i definitely would have gotten this as an isolated option (if it was an isolated option) for sure on the G... $1100 seemed like a small bump in price for wheels,paddles,"S",seats...

When I first became interested in the G37 I was looking at a G37 with the sports package because I liked the paddle shifters, upgraded brakes and the Sport-tuned suspension. Late in the game (after driving the G37S) I decided to get the AWD model because of the Midwest winters.. I saw the "S" badge on the back and just thought it would have the same equipment as the G37S.. I just now realized that I was wrong.. there is no sports tuned suspension or upgraded brakes on the AWD model.. I fell like such a DUMBA$$.. I have waited about 3 weeks for this car that should be here next week... I don't think I can wait another month or 2 for RWD model.. DAMN..
