Don't like the black basket weave on bumper

Does anybody else have a problem with the way the black plastic basket weave looks on the front bumper? I would have preferred that Infiniti made it so that it was removable and replace with something after-market and more functional like brake ventilation. It can be done, but would require carving up the bumper a bit and who wants to be the first to do that?

For clarity - I'm talking about the 2009 sedan.
It looks like it's molded into the bumper which would require a complete bumper replacement or cutting out around the area. If you cut it out, what's available to replace it with?

For the Sport or th enon sport?

On the Coupe, for the sport, the faux brake vents can be removed. It may also be the case for the Sedan Sport but I'm not sure.

Not for the Journey Sedan. It's molded together with the rest of the bumper.
