I name all of my cars. My last car was an '07 Honda Civic Si Sedan with the VTEC engine in Habanero Red Pearl. She was "Lola."
The G has been a tough one to name, but based its elegance and yet ferocious nature when hitting the gas pedal, I have named it "The Elegant Beast."
My teenage daughter says that fits it well and I think so too.
Now I want to add a G convertible to my modest "stable" but that will probably have to wait. Got to pay off the G first!

Why do people name goldfish? Not like they respond to the name, they just swim. Or name a stuffed animal? Sure it looks more or less like a real animal to some degree, but it's just synthetic fur and stuffing, not alive at all. Me, I'm fond enough of the car that it in my mind, even if I am mostly imagining it seeing a "personality" of sorts. But I also don't actually expect my car to respond to or know it's name, nor do I really think it's alive. :P
To answer the OP, Shale since my G37x Coupe is Blue Slate. I tend to name cars based on the color. (I had an Acura that was about the same shade of blue as the Infiniti Athens Blue. maybe a bit more toward a royal blue, so I named it Cobalt for instance, a silver car I named Sterling, etc.)
