I've been a member for a while, but still haven't figured out how to paste a picture so that it is large, and not as an attachment.

Please advise

photobucket is just one of a sheitload of free file hosts.
Google free image hosting.
Tinypic is one of many that doesn't even require registration and it works here too.

Go to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting and click on "browse" next to the "file" box.
Using this, find the picture on your computer, click it and then click "upload".
If not registered, you'll then need to enter the "captcha" code, then click "upload now".
Once the file (picture) is uploaded you'll see four links to chose from. Highlight the one that says "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards".

Example: [...]http://i51.tinypic.com/2vs43s1.jpg[/IMG] (I replaced [IMG] with [...] in this example to show the code, otherwise a picture shows up.

Copy and paste that code into the same area you write your messages here when you post.
Click "preview post" instead of "submit reply" to test first, you'll see the results before you actually post. If it all looks good, click "submit reply".

This forum differs from most others I use when posting pics, that is, once you preview, the text for the pic changes to a pic in the text area too.
Not sure if I like that or not. If it didn't, you'd see the coding used for the pics people post when quoting their post, I've self taught myself some tricks just from deciphering what others have posted, but you can't do it that way here.
