Sounds about right.
I don't care about filling the car up. I strictly asked because I keep seeing at least 20+ so I was wondering wtf was going on. Obviously keeping in mind that I live in NYC and assuming that most of these 20+MPG are highway miles, but I wanted to make sure.
No reason to attempt being a smarta$$. Not once did I say complain gas is too expensive or anything in relative, otherwise I'd drive a damn Prius or some garbage.

Relax tough guy I meant that in general not necessary towards your question. The VQ motor is a gas guzzler no matter how you drive it. Who cares how much miles per gallon we get out of it. Nothing is normal for this VQ motor it eats gas like a V8, but everyone still loves the damn thing including me. drive it like you stole it ...... hmmm wonder when the next track day is miss tracking my car?!
Yea, it's a given when you buy the car. But to be completely honest, it is a complete pain in the *** to constantly fill it up. Thankfully, the gas station is right by my house.

It has a huge tank. My other car takes barely 15 gallons if I push the limits.
Your hyperbole about the hummer is entertaining, but inaccurate. A Hummer in NYC might have to have its own personal gas tanker to follow it around.

Now it makes sense why they're always parked by gas stations.

Considering getting a 2012 G37x before the end of the month. Do you think it is possible to get the mid 20s 25-26mpg avgs per tank on a G37x with 80% highway and 20% rural city driving? Or is this wishful thinking with a car like this

In my case, I enjoy driving the car and think the milage is very good for the performance that comes with it. I would feel robbed paying for gas if I had to drive a 35 mpg POS I didn't like.

Entirely possible if you keep the highway speed down and steady. 23-24 overall is more likely though if you do any high speed 75+ or spirited driving.
