I like the switch to horizontal headlights as opposed to the current vertical arrangement. not a fan of the rear or side creases. mirrors look ridiculous, but I doubt they will make it to production.

3. The interior - fantastic is too bland of a word here. Love every bit!
Futuristic, you say? Wake up, it's 2006 already!!! We ARE in the future! For how long do you want those ugly ancient gauges and retro dashboards? Honda had the guts to put that spacy interior in their cheap mainstream car, why Infiniti shouldn't do the same with their upscale model? Time to move on, guys.
4. I have no probs with rear-end, although I admit it could be wider.
Dislikes, few but minor:
1. Front crease is a bit disturbing indeed. Although it may grow on me.
2. Side-mirrors. Cars without them do look like a human without arms. Hopefully, normal mirrors replace cameras.
That's it. The sharpest looking coupe in sub 100k segment, IMHO.

One thing that kept me away from trading my Acura for an Infiniti is the interior. How can a $30k car have such a spartan interior? They fixed that up in 2k5-2k6 models but still, I think it's a notch below Acura ... two notches below Lexus.
The new concept changes this impression. This looks like this should have belonged in the beginning. However, I'm glad Nissan/Infiniti has turned the corner and now following change, starting with the new M and now ... the G. I hope this concept will show up in the fall 2006 so I can pick this baby up.
Of course, the local Infiniti guy had no idea what I was talking about (re: release of 2nd gen G35c) and bet me $50 that the current model will remain the same in 2007.
(He was begging me to test drive a 2006 Anthens Blue 6MT model) January 2007, as another member suggested, would be too late for me.
well i will put it this way. infiniti does not release pricing until a few weeks before the vehicle will come out. the 2006 FX's are coming out in 2 weeks and i just got final pricing for that yesterday. the concept will be very close to production but obviously with door handles and a regular moonroof. definitely is taking a step in the right direction

What ever the G lacks in interior compared to a TL, it makes up for it in overall performance (and then some). Just my .02 cent opinion.
I personally don't mind my interior one bit, but I agree that the TL's interior is at step up. For me, it wouldn't matter what interior the TL is like.....I wouldn't give up my rwd G for it. Don't get me wrong, the TL's are nice cars. I just wouldn't want fwd.
So Infiniti wins a couple of rounds with this concept but I have followed Infiniti long enough to know they are quite capable of screwing up a great concpet in production form.
Also let's not forget the two biggest obtacles Infiniti will face in the near future; the BMW 3/4 Coupe and the Lexus IS350 Coupe. BMW will be coming back to reclaim its title and Lexus will try to take it. At the New York Auto Show(hope to see some fellow Infiniti enthusiasts from this board), both of those Coupe's will come out swinging like Tyson in his prime. Well see if Infiniti can withstand the punches, but this fight is just starting.

but the M3 is not part of thet cometitive group.
It'll be the 4 series that will more closely compete with the others

You're confused.....You mean the BMW 330 Coupe....not M3.
The M3 is going to be priced significantly higher and will compete with the likes of the Infiniti GT-R, Audi S4, Cadillac CTS-V, etc...

It's easy for me to go to the Autoshow when you live 10 minutes away from Detroit tunnel (I'm from Windsor, ON).
I've been going to the Autoshow for years.Like I said, I hope to officially join g35c as a fellow owner. I'm doing my research here ... hope it arrives sooner than later.

Would you recommend parking on this side & taking the tunnel shuttle to Cobo???
