So I’m very much planning to keep my “G” (“Q”) for a long time. Bought in 2021 w/ 40k miles and have put about 35k on her since. Always messing with something and upgrading/restoring/cleaning.
Issue is: driver’s seat is uncomfortable for me after an hour or so. Has taken me so long to admit this to myself. Will never mention to friends/family haha. I do not want to modify stock sport seats and they are in (near) mint condition.
Question: Is there a comfortable aftermarket option? Suggestions? Or try to source some base sedan seats and swap?
I would be selling the stock seats. Don’t want to save them and someone on here would get way more use.
Honestly, removing the side support bars in the sport seat (driver only) is pretty easy and well-documented here. Not much more work than swapping the seat in the first place.
I was in the same boat with my IPL Q60, after driving for even 30 minutes my back would hurt the rest of the day, I ended up getting this for back support. Only thing is the foam gets hard during the cold but gets softer after it warms up.
The regular seats are more uncomfortable than the sport seats to me. Too flat and I hate that you can't tilt the entire bottom seat, only the front half.
