Has anyone experienced this or know what this noise could be or where it could be coming from by any chance.? It does it intermittently when changing the position of the gear selector. Usually when putting the car in park, reverse, or drive.

Hello folks I was contemplating whether anyone at any point had this issue?? I hear a thump or pop sound from the lower front suspension (Left and Right) when I'm slowing down somewhat hard and going to reach a stand-still. Any input is extremely valuable..

Check the front sway bar links to see if they are broken, if they look ok then unbold the sway bar busing and see if the bar itseld if cracked. Could also be a bad bushing or two or worn ball joints. If it is AWD (X), then check for worn CV joints.

Mines a RWD. I’ve been hearing a clunking or creaking like noise when changing direction and pressing or releasing the brake. For example when doing a 3 point turn and or changing direction. Not sure if this is related to the noise I am hearing when changing the gear selector position are related. As that sound sounds more like metal on metal contact coming from underneath the car towards the mid/ rear area. I may have a faulty ball joint and U joint, or a cv axel. I only hear or have noticed these sounds at very slow speed as mentioned before usually when changing direction and or the driveshaft’s direction. I recently replaced the sway bars and end links with Z1’s sway bars and Whiteline end links. The front side also had BC Racing coilovers SPL front upper control arms and outer tie rod ends replaced a few months back.

Could be the infamous, harmless but annoying Nissan axle click. There's a TSB that involves spreading a bead of grease on the CV joint flange where it meets the hub. It works, but eventually the grease wears aware and the click returns. I had a dealer perform this twice for free, then refused when it inevitably returned.
